BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (Wholesale)

Home based – South East/M25 North/Greater London
SHS Sales & Marketing is the UK’s market-leading, privately-owned, sales and marketing outsourcing company with over £300m turnover and continues to grow both organically and through the acquisition of new clients and brands. Working closely with its FMCG brand partners the company supplies a wide range of top name brands across alcoholic and soft drinks, grocery, confectionery, household and healthcare categories.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for the Head Office account management of a portfolio of National Wholesale members and Regional Wholesalers. Your remit will be varied and will include the negotiation of trading agreements, account plans, listings and promotional activity as well as driving distribution and sales of the company’s brands and winning new business with existing customers.
You will be required to be pro-active and make decisions to manage your customers effectively. Product responsibility will include the company’s full range of brands in grocery and confectionery categories.
We are seeking individuals with previous FMCG branded sales and wholesale channel experience who can demonstrate their true potential and a real passion for building business. Presently, you are likely to be a Territory Manager, Regional Account Manager, Account Executive or similar, and now looking for your next step. If you have the ambition and the ability to progress eventually in National Accounts then this is the ideal role for you. To be successful you will need to demonstrate a truly engaging, dynamic and persuasive personality, real drive and inspiring record of success.
The job role is home based, with candidates living in the South East, ideally in the Greater London area or the northern home counties of Bucks, Herts, Beds, Essex and with good access to the M25.
