Category Manager - Grocery

We are looking for the sharpest minds in category management, who want to develop their career in a multinational FMCG business. Working within the company's food team, you will be working with brands that boast retail sales of over £50m.

As Category Manager, your main responsibility will be to develop and implement a robust category plan based on Customer, Consumer and Shopper Insight that delivers against revenue targets.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Understanding shopper and consumer interests and presenting the impact to the commercial team in terms of business implications and strategy.
- Responsible for planogram and SKU line up in all UK stores.
- providing a longer-term picture in terms of the market positioning of the category, what competitors are doing, what are the strength and weakness areas of competitors versus the UK category.
- extracting, filtering, analysing and presenting market data (both internal EPOS DB and external sources) to UK commercial team.

The ideal candidate will:
- Have a strong understanding of FMCG Category Management principles.
- Have an understanding UK marketplace, consumers and retailers
- Ideally have Food or snacking experience, but by no way a pre requisite for the position.
- Ability to not only understand the data but able to use data to propose solutions to problems within the accounts.
