The company

My client is a major international manufacturer and distributor of branded eyewear with a group global turnover over in excess of Euros 80 million per annum. They have the licences for some very well-known fashion brands which has allowed them to expand dramatically over the last couple of years and pride themselves on the high quality of their customer care.

The Role

Due to further expansion of the UK subsidiary and their recent rapid growth, the need has now arisen for my client to employ a new Regional Sales Manager covering the South East of England. The main focus of this role will be managing existing accounts and driving new profitable business. You will be responsible for the sale of branded eyewear into independent opticians and you will report directly into the Southern Sales Manager and Managing director. This is a target driven sales role where you will be expected to work on your own initiative.

The Candidate

As the Regional Sales Manager for the South East of England you will be an outgoing, tenacious individual, who has evidence of building key relationships with customers within the Optical industry. You will have a track record of meeting sales targets and KPI’s and you will have a ‘can do’ attitude to sales and understand the technicalities of the ophthalmic market. You will also be able show evidence that you have provided a high level of customer service and have the ability to manage a territory to maximise potential.

Key responsibilities

  • Selling branded eyewear into independent opticians.
  • Developing existing accounts and driving new business to achieve profitable growth.
  • You will build key relationships within the market, both internally and externally.
  • You will be accountable for the turnover within your defined territory, which has the potential to turnover at least £500K pa.
  • You will have the ability to manage your time efficiently and efficiently.
  • Ensure a high standard of service to existing and prospective new customers.
