Our client has been manufacturing their iconic food/drinks products for over 120 years and has a wealth of experience in delivering exceptional quality and innovation. An opportunity has arisen for an extremely bright, energetic individual to provide comprehensive support to our client's HORECA team. This will involve developing and implementing the trade marketing strategy, maximising cost effective Out Of Home sales and representing the brand as a category leader. Reporting into the Commercial Director, you will provide support for the business in presenting upcoming marketing activity to key accounts across Hotels, Restaurants, Bars and Cafes. Another important part of the role will be monitoring and analysing competitor activity as well as the business' own marketing activity, making recommendations for future improvements. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to get involved in the creation of New Products and their launch.

The successful candidate for this role will be a graduate (Marketing degree preferred) with at least 2 years of work experience in a FMCG company. The successful candidate may come from either a Sales or Marketing background but must have experience of working with Out Of Home accounts (Hotels, Restaurants, Bars and Cafes). You must be able to demonstrate an understanding of Wholesaler, Distributor and Food Service outlets, category management, trade dynamics and space planning. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a positive can do' attitude and a high level of commercial awareness. An understanding of the UK Retail environment is paramount and prior experience of working with Nielsen/market research data will be advantageous. A love of coffee would go down well too!
