Operating as an independent Business Unit within a larger group, my client combines the heritage of its past with modern-day innovation and production techniques, in order to meet their own high standards and expectations of their customers.

My client produces and supplies the highest quality own label products - both fresh and frozen - that are distributed to major high street retailers and foodservice customers. They have established strong relationships with high-profile retail customers including; Tesco, Marks & Spencer and Sainsbury’s, as well as possessing a significant presence in the foodservice sector. They are now currently looking to recruit a Commercial manager to take responsibility for their Tesco and M+S accounts.

As a Commercial Manager you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of own label products for both Tesco and Marks and Spencer with the Tesco business accounting for the majority of the Business Unit’s turnover. You will be part of the senior business team and have direct involvement in the development of the on-going business strategy and direction. You will be working closely with NPD, Technical and Supply Chain both internally and externally.

To be considered for this position you must possess a proven track record of commercial success within the food industry with a stable and progressive back ground. It is a prerequisite that you have recent Tesco and Own Label experience, both managing and developing business with them. As with all commercial roles, you must be a strong negotiator as well as have the relationship skills to build strong partnerships internally and externally.
