Trading Analyst

Working for this international retailing giant, the job holder will be required to compile, analyse and evaluate commercial, sales and market data to produce insights, identify market trends and make recommendations that will directly impact on sales and profit.

Responsibilities will include:
* Compilation of data from different sources and collate in a logical and efficient format
* Create a set of levers and key KPI's to evaluate sales performance by category and product group
* Identify market trends and make suggestions via sound analysis in the form of business friendly reports and presentations.
* Liaise with internal stakeholders to develop a sound understanding of trading and commercial factors such as product availability, seasonality, pricing and promotions .
* Recommend solutions to sales issues and identify areas for improvement in system and processes

To be considered for this vacancy, ideally you will have:
* Outstanding commercial acumen, advanced Excel skills and sound experience in database management
* Retail or FMCG Commercial, Trading or Insights experience
* Highly motivated, able to work with minimal direction and thrive in a fast paced and cross functional environment
* Excellent 'data translation' skills and able to make clear sense and be able to accurately present complex data
* Strong problem solving, verbal and written communication skills as wells as excellent attention to detail
