Area Manager Opportunities

Brewers are the largest independent decorator’s merchant in the UK, serving trade, consumer and industrial markets from more than 150 branches across the UK and online, generating sales of over £150 million across our operations. We are a dynamic and successful family business who have been trading for well over a century, which says something about our ability to anticipate and meet our customers’ demands through changing times and trends in home decor.
Following some commercial restructuring involving internal promotions we are looking to appoint two Area Managers in the business; one for our Midlands Area with branches centred in and around Birmingham and one based in Surrey/Hampshire.
The Role
With Area sales of over £8million in the Midlands and £5million in Surrey/Hampshire and continued growth opportunities, the key tasks of these senior management appointments are:
- to drive profitable sales
- develop margin growth and manage costs
- lead and develop a team of Managers, Representatives and Branch staff
The Person
You will have considerable contact with your own team plus key customers and suppliers and therefore you will need to have excellent all round business, management and communication skills.
Reporting to the Commercial Director you will have a high degree of autonomy to manage and develop your Area and will be expected to contribute to the continued success of the business.
In addition to general management skills you should be highly numerate and confident with Excel and PowerPoint.
You will also need to live within or very close to the Area or be prepared to relocate if necessary.
