Our client is a large food manufacturer within the UK who supply into all major retailers, foodservice and manufacturers. They are continually increasing their market share within the UK and are looking for experienced sales professional to develop the business relationships further and drive forward this growth further.

As Sales Controller you will be playing an essential part to the company, across the High Quality Protein Component Ingredients division in to the business to business customer base; you will be working alongside all areas of the business as to fully understand the product in order to achieve maximum profit margins.

You will have responsible for the entire Business to Business customer base. Our client is looking for someone to come in a drive forward the relationships in this area in order to achieve the maximum potential. Therefore in order to be successful in this it is essential you should have strong experience in developing accounts and building on existing relationships including pursuing new areas in the present customer base in which you develop more business; as well as seeking new business where possible outside of this current customer base.

This role offers the opportunity to travel and meet with the customer regularly so to building and create string relationships which then enables you to truly understand what they require and what they expect from the business and any areas which can be improved on and developed further in order to create higher sales and profit margins. Whilst on site you will be continually looking for areas of NPD which can expand the sales into new areas.

Main Duties:

  • Expand on existing customer base to drive forward growth and profitability into new business areas.
  • Full P&L responsibility for the customer base; monitoring day to day costing's and creating higher profit margins.
  • Work closely with all business areas so to understand all aspects of the process so to always be aware of the aims and margins.
  • Be the key point of contact within the customer base and always be able to direct and offer your knowledge when requested.

To be successful in this role it is essential you have experience at the following levels; Sales Controller, Commercial Controller; National Account Controller, Key Account Controller, Business Controller, Senior National Account Manager, Senior Commercial Manager.

This role is a senior sales role therefore it is required that you have strong previous experience within the food manufacturing industry at this level and proven experience in developing sales; our client are looking for someone who has shown strong career progression and who have the ambition to progress this business further. As you should have strong food manufacturing experience it is also desirable that you have experience within the Business to Business customer base in a sales environment. This role is offering strong career progression for the future and is therefore suitable for someone who is looking for longevity within their next role.
