Job Details

A leading Branded FMCG business steeped in heritage is looking to hire a talented National Account Manager to join a highly professional grocery team looking to attract the very highest calibre NAM. This is a very interesting stage in the businesses development, as a major new investment has been agreed to make a big impact in the UK trade with a very attractive support package. The role will manage some of the businesses core grocery customers delivering the commercial targets to help optimise the UK business plan.

This role will suit a well-trained NAM with exposure to different major multiple customers who is ready for a fresh challenge to use their training and passion for brands to advance their career with more autonomy and flexibility. 

Core elements of the role

  • Full JBP management- grocery- top 4
  • Full P&L accountability
  • To drive relationships both new and existing
  • Deliver the commercial targets by customer by period by commercial KPI down to net profit level. 
  • To be an active and consistent contributor to the senior commercial UK team.

The candidate

  • You will have a minimum of 4 years UK grocery experience. 
  • You must have a minimum of 2 years within a branded FMCG house and understand brands
  • You will be able to effectively use KAD data
  • GAP training would be an advantage
  • You will have a minimum of 2 years JBP management
  • You will be a real self-starter, hands on, high tenacious and see jobs through
  •  You will be highly numerate and proficient in excel

This is a really exciting opportunity. The career progression within the role with advance through to a grocery lead or controller role in the next 2 to 3 years. It will contribute enormously to the success and growth of the UK business.
