In 1887 AMS Baeshen started trading in tea as a merchant family in Saudi Arabia; The Baeshen tea business was established by Brothers Ahmed and Abdul Qader Mohamed Saleh Baeshen who prepared a special blend of Ceylon teas which they initially shared only with family and friends. This special blend gained popularity due to its distinctive mix of fine long leaves and the pure golden colour of its liquor. The blend eventually became widely sold under the name “Rabea Tea”. The famous Abu Jabal and Rabea Tea brands were firmly established in Saudi Arabia by the Mid-20th Century and to this day continue to be the leading brands in Saudi Arabia, along with popular new additions such as Rabea Express Teabags, Rabea Green tea and a range of other specialty and herbal beverages under the Rabea brand name.
