The Role
As the successful Account Manager you will be responsible for the On Trade accounts (pubs / clubs / social clubs) across the East Midlands and will be responsible for 100% new business. You will work closely with the Regional Development Directors and Key Account Managers to develop and deliver a regional strategic plan and to influence business and drive relationships between you and your customers to increase growth. As the successful Account Manager you will be involved in all elements of new business (100%), promotional planning/evaluation, business and market reporting. You will manage your own P&L therefore previous experience is a must. You will spend the majority of your time with customers with daily travel a must. This is an autonomous role whereby you will be given the freedom to input, shape and help to grow their portfolio volume and profit in all cases. You will be responsible for identifying key opportunities and building lasting business relationships.

The successful Account Manager will:

  • Currently hold the position of National Account Executive, Key Account Manager, Customer Development Executive, National Account Manager, Customer Business Manager, Sales Executive or equivalent.
  • MUST have experience of sales in a branded FMCG business 4 years +
  • Ideally have experience within spirits / soft drinks / Beer 4 years +
  • Be a ‘Hunter’ and thrive on winning new business
  • MUST live on patch
  • An ability to communicate effectively and build and maintain strong business relationships
  • Be dynamic, innovative, and incredibly driven
  • Be prepared to work the odd late evening or weekend where required
  • Ideally be degree educated or equivalent

In return you will receive a salary of £30,000 - £40,000 + competitive bonus + company car or car allowance + pension + healthcare + share options + beer allowance!

This is a field based opportunity covering Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Derbyshire.
