Category Manager - Protein

Hudson James Human Capital Group are currently partnering with one of the largest food manufacturing businesses in the UK on a number of interesting opportunities.

As Category Manager you will be working on a Top 4 account across the protein division. Your key focus will be to increase sales growth across this account through strategic planning, insight into the market and having complete customer understanding.

As well as this your key responsibilities will be:

• To managing and build on the existing relationships with the customer in order to ensure that there is complete satisfaction and that the company is the preferred supplier into customer.
• To work closely with the NPD department to ensure that they have full understanding of the market and are therefore able to develop successful products. This will also include liaising with the commercial department.
• To develop, implement and manage promotional plans in order to positively influence the customer’s behaviour.
• You will be utilising data in fresh ways and continuously challenging assumptions in order to develop fresh approaches; whilst making sure customers’ needs are met.
• Developing strategic promotional plans using category insight and customers objectives.

To be successful in this role you should have proven experience at a Category Manager Level within the food production industry, preferable chilled. Experience working with the Top 4 account is also essential for this role. You should be a highly influential person with proven success in previous roles.

You should experience as; Category Manager, Customer Marketing Manager, Assistant Category Manager, Assistant Marketing Manager.
