JOB PURPOSE

 
  1. To lead the UK and ROW supply chain function, inventory management, and distribution management to achieve OTIF fulfilment to our UK and ROW Customers sales orders.
  • Manage the Acton-DC and distribution operation, including e-commerce/mailroom, supervisors, warehouse staff, space, resources, equipment, security, the rework function and stock, to deliver the Monthly Sales Budgets efficiently and accurately.
  • Responsibility for ensuring that all current health and safety guidelines, legislation and safe working practices are in place and managed within the Acton-DC environment
  • Manage SEKO (MK) operation.
  • Organising and management of ongoing inventory counts to deliver inventory integrity.
  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    People management

    • Management of all Acton DC warehouse and rework supervisors and staff to deliver a productive and disciplined Team, including performance management and disciplinary action where required in line with the Company Staff Handbook and Policies.

     

    • Hold weekly review meetings with Acton DC warehouse and rework supervisors to set weekly priorities and targets.
    • Keeping accurate records of staff attendance, sickness absence and additional hours worked
    • Forecasting of labour requirements in warehouse and ticketing and adjusting temporary staff levels as required.
    • Work with SEKO (MK) to forecast labour requirements.

    Health and Safety

    • Responsibility for all H&S management within the Acton-DC and rework areas
    • Responsibility for maintaining a clean, safe, organised and efficient warehouse and rework area.
    • Ensuring the SEKO (MK) adheres to all H&S responsibilities.

     

    Operational

     

    Split working week between Acton- DC and SEKO (MK) – DC to oversee the following in both DC’s.

    • Overseeing the Supervisors management of all receipt and verification of all incoming deliveries, air freights, etc.
    • Overseeing the Supervisors management of all dispatches and collections.
    • Ensuring Supervisors are checking pick lists and ensuring that all stock is picked that is available.
    • Overseeing the Supervisors monitoring of all picking and packing whilst ensuring that all Customer requirements are met, e.g. customer height restrictions on pallets, labelling requirements, etc.
    • Responsibility for ensuring all non-Rework Picks are processed within 24hrs.
    • Overseeing the B2C ‘Mailroom’ operations.
    • Overseeing and reporting of any stock discrepancies or damages, ensuring the ERP is updated immediately.
    • Updating of the ERP stock management system with any stock movements within the warehouse, gaining the required authorisation from the GSCD and CFO for any stock adjustments.
    • Reviewing the Acton-DC stock levels daily, taking into account changes in sales patterns so that stock is transferred from the UK-DC and maintained at the correct levels to fulfil all Picks.
    • Monitoring of stock levels and purchasing of pallets, cartons, tape and other consumables
    • Liaising with distribution Carriers to deliver the best rates and a timely and quality service.
    • Manage a best in class e-fulfilment service, improving processes to deliver rapid UK and RoW growth.
    • Manage service level agreements, contractual relationships, quarterly business reviews and rate structures with supply chain strategic partners.
    • Acton Warehouse security.
     

    KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

     
    • Ensure that Supervisor’s and all staff are managed so that they carry out their roles effectively and in a way that builds staff/Team morale that delivers 100% of the Monthly Sales Budgets
    • Receipt 100% of GRN’s on ERP within day of physical receipt
    • Pick and Invoice 100% of ‘non-Rework’ Picks on the day they are released by Operations with a 99%+ pick fulfilment
    • 0 (zero) Picked SO’s in despatch (if not awaiting booking slot delivery)
    • Ensure that goods being despatched are correctly packaged, labelled and realise an OTIF fulfilment of 99%+
    • Achieve a Stocktake Inventory net variance of <0.5%
    • 100% Compliance with all Health and Safety legislation
