Job Details

We are looking for a National Account Controller to manage the relationship with a 3rd party distribution partner who sell into the major retailers in the UK across the head office. This person will manage the relationship with the National Account Managers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•Ensuring the achievement of sales volumes in the Home channel (Grocery & Discounters).

•Manage P&L budget for the channel

•Deliver against range and distribution targets

•Manage monthly sales reporting against KPI’s

•Promotional planning and evaluation across the channel

•Control trade spend, allowances and investment for the channel

•Evaluate trade spend, allowances and investment for the channel

•Develop and execute appropriate channel tactics and plans aligned to the DP to exceed sales and profit expectations.

•Managing strategic negotiations with DP and customers, ensuring all ABP targets are delivered.

•Develop category argumentation to increase shelf space and brand visibility

•Work and communicate effectively with DP account teams to grow the business.

•Influence DP in order to get the correct field sales coverage for the channel.

•Track , rank and publish executional and distribution achievements vs plan.

•To be able to operate as the link across all necessary departments within both the company and distributor to ensure that all necessary tasks are completed and objectives are achieved. Functions/departments could include Commercial, Field Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing and Business Development.

•The channel Controller will manage monthly financials and sales reports with DP to determine opportunities for improvements based on efficiency and adjustments in consumer and customer demand, as well as brand/item performance and pricing.

•Provide analysis and interpretation of internal/external market data, highlighting any underlying trends to identify new market opportunities and recommend strategies to increase the organisation’s profitability.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

•Deliverance of agreed ABP aligned with DP.

•Attendance of customer meetings with DP.

•Volume and growth in the Home channel and key accounts in Grocery.

•Channel profitability.

•Value and volume share and growth within the Home channel (Grocery & Discounters)

EXPERIENCE

The Ideal Experience:

•Exceptional analytical skills.

•Strong negotiating skills and expertise

•Ideally significant experience of customer/DP management and negotiation, particularly in FMCG and Strong computer skills, including knowledge of SAP and demonstrated familiarity with Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook.

•A good understanding and working knowledge of market data such as Nielsen.
