Over the last decade, Carte Blanche has expanded beyond its core greeting card and gifts business to embrace new sectors such as toy and digital. Our brands have been licensed worldwide with phenomenal success – over 75 million Me to You plush bears sold since 2000 – and now we operate across many new and exciting product categories including apparel, confectionery and homeware. With the unique and instantly recognisable Tatty Teddy & His Blue Nosed Friends, our most recognised and much loved brand, as well as Moshi Monsters, Violent Veg, we are enjoying an excellent period of growth and development and now looking to step change our focus with Independent retailers.
We are looking to recruit a Field Sales Manager for the Northern Independent Region to coach and manage a team of 6 Business Development Executives.
Coaching, training, recruitment, retention, employee engagement – this role has it all for you. Field sales team management experience in FMCG is high on our list of must haves (its not a deal breaker), and ideally you’ve also had exposure to National Account and P&L.
The ability to engender trust and support from your team will be crucial, the business fosters a customer centric approach, and will need you to inspire and motivate a team varied in experience and background to achieve sales and profit targets. You will report directly to the Head of Independent Sales, and work closely with them on team development and strategic projects vital to the growth and development of the business. As they will also need you to deliver accurate sales forecasts and team assessments, a good grasp of figures and account management skills will come in very handy.
This role is a challenge but if you should rise to it and excel then development opportunities into National Accounts or other Commercial Management await.
