Head of Buying - Retail - Non-Food

Business:

Our client is a dynamic ambitious retail organisation based in Dubai with a presence across the GCC and wider Middle East region. The business is Western operated and represents major international brands along with a hugely successful home-grown retailer that has gone from strength to strength and will now embark on its latest venture in to worldwide expansion. The business has traditionally had a “SME / family feel” but has begun on a more corporate way of operating over recent years. Anyone joining the team will help to continue with this cultural transformation that is underway.

Role:

The position will head up a team of highly ambitious, intelligent Buyers and Merchandisers. You will report to the Director of the department and free up this individual’s time to allow a more strategic approach to be implemented. Ensuring personality fit with this dynamic team is crucial so you will have a demonstrable track record of leading a team of people to success whilst developing skill sets along the way. There is a huge amount of potential in this role as the business continues its unrivalled growth across the MENA region and internationally throughout the globe.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role it is essential you are a proven leader and have previous man management experience in a retail buying environment. It is advantageous if this experience has been gained across non-food product lines. To fit culturally in this business you will be between the ages of 30 to 40 and of western approach / origin.
