Buyer - Retail - Non-Food

Business:

Our client is a dynamic ambitious retail organisation based in Dubai with a presence across the GCC and wider Middle East region. The business is Western operated and represents major international brands along with a hugely successful home-grown retailer that has gone from strength to strength and will now embark on its latest venture in to worldwide expansion. The business has traditionally had a “SME / family feel” but has begun on a more corporate way of operating over recent years. Anyone joining the team will help to continue with this cultural transformation that is underway.

Role:

This Buyer role will focus on full end to end management of this particular product area within the business. Sourcing is a major part of this position along with the expected purchasing repsonsibilities, continuously developing supplier and product range is a key objective. Expectations are high in this demanding setup, people are expected to treat their responsibilities as if the business was their own.  The position will join a team of 4 buyers and 8 support staff, reporting directly into the Head of Buying.

Requirements:

As a Buyer of this product area which is not yet fully developed, you’ll be forward thinking, creative and innovative in your approach. To be considered for this role it is essential you come from a retail buying background with apparel or children’s products experience advantageous. To fit culturally within this business you will be between the ages of 25 and 35 and of western approach / origin.
