Reporting into the Sales and Operations Director, the National Account Manager will be working for one of the UK’s largest producers of premium smoked seafood, managing the relationship with the businesses top 4 grocery accounts. Following continued expansion and growth, there is now a requirement for a National Account Manager to join the team.
The key purpose of this role is to manage the agreed account achieving turnover, profit and volume targets whilst ensuring all payments are met. In addition you are to establish and effective rolling two year customer development plan designed to grow the businesses profitability within the account.
Principal Accountabilities Include:
- Negotiating and implementing annual customer joint business plans.
- Managing base business, ensuring the necessary rate of sale driving activities and promotional plans are in place.
- Controlling cash collection/payment within agreed terms.
- Identifying and implementing new business via new listings and increased distribution.
- Taking full accountability for sales, volume and financial forecasts.
- Working alongside marketing colleagues in providing detailed category solutions.
You shall be expected to have at least 3 years’ National Account Management experience working with a top 4 grocery account. In addition, you are expected to have a strong understanding of all Microsoft Office based programmes.
