As the world's biggest independent Gin brand, our client is a shining example of a business which has really harnessed the opportunities arising from the current boom in the category. Now with a presence in 55 countries across the globe, the business is growing rapidly - not surprisingly given that their premium product is the world's most awarded Gin. The team's strong entrepreneurial spirit and clear drive for excellence is taking the category by storm and they are now seeking a UK Sales Manager to join them on their journey.

The role involves direct management of the On Trade Sales team as well as managing relationships with key retailers, national chains and independents. This is a hands-on role in a lean team and as such, you will be expected to play an integral part developing and maintaining business development across the board. For example, you will be responsible for:

  • Implementing sales drivers within retailers
  • Managing relationships with major distributors
  • Implementing sales strategy with distributors
  • Business development with key retail chains across the UK as well as key on trade accounts across London
  • Responsible for relationship building with key on trade figures
  • Initiating and rolling out ideas/ways of engaging the trade
  • Management of key travel retail account

Candidates must be degree educated and have circa 5 years of experience of proven sales experience within a branded FMCG business. Drinks or luxury brand experience is seen as an advantage. You should be able to demonstrate a proven track record of hitting and surpassing sales targets as well as P+L management experience. Experience with managing national chains, retailers and wholesalers is desirable and will add to your success. You will be directly managing 2 full time sales executives and have responsible for a small team of part time brand ambassadors; therefore demonstrating the ability to manage and motivate a team is essential.

A confident, outgoing personality with an entrepreneurial spirit, you will be a proactive self-starter with a keenness to help out at all levels, Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and excellent communication skills are key attributes for this role.
