Sales Controller

Our client own a number of key brands of the finest quality, these are supplied to Top 4 Grocery, Forecourts, Discounters and also a several High Street Retailers. Their branded and own label products are sold in over 100 countries where by the company has seen rapid growth. A family run business, which has been running for well over 100 years, they manufacture a variety of snacks and dried fruits amongst other exciting and tasty food products, they aim to provide quality and delicious products which are innovative and full of flavor.

What the job entails

As the successful Sales Controller you will be expected to develop a long term strategy for the specific channels delivering competitive advantage and profitable growth. You will be responsible for leading, coaching and developing a team of direct reports. This role is a high profile position internally as you will play a leading part in the creation of the future vision for the strategy of the business. As the successful Sales Controller you will be able to influence at all levels and work cross functionally within this Entrepreneurial organisation.


The successful Sales Controller will:

  • Have current experience in one of the following roles: National Account Controller, Sales Controller, Commercial Controller, Head of Sales or equivalent.
  • Have current experience within a Branded FMCG organisation managing at least one top 4 grocery account.
  • Strong leadership skills gained through managing a team of direct reports.
  • Understanding of Marketing, Shopper Marketing, Category Management, Supply Chain and financial management to ensure cross functional working.
  • Preferably be degree educated or equivalent.

Our client is looking to pay up to £70,000 (May be flex for the right person) +  bonus + company car  + pension + healthcare.

This is a office based opportunity in Midlands/Home Counties.
