Meadow Foods is a highly successful and growing £400m food business  and  the UK’s largest independent dairy group, supplying a range of bulk ingredients to food manufacturing  customers from three major, dedicated and well-invested processing sites. Working closely and in partnership with some of the world’s biggest food manufacturers, the company  supplies  high quality ingredients that are used in a wide range of food products including ice cream, yogurt, chocolate confectionery, ready meals, soups, sauces and biscuits. The company are now seeking to appoint an additional Commercial Manager to support and drive their ambitious growth plans.

Reporting to a Commercial Manager the Commercial Executive will have autonomous responsibility for managing  a portfolio of existing , smaller food manufacturing accounts as well as developing new customer opportunities. Key objectives for the role will be to deliver growth, maximise profit and develop long term business relationships all of which are consistent with the company’s strategic objectives.  In addition, you’ll be part of a company that gives real autonomy, responsibility and trust and has a strong people culture at its centre. There will be personal development opportunities for you as well and a great opportunity to learn with a leading FMCG food ingredients business.

You are likely to be a graduate calibre individual with 2-3 years previous FMCG sales experience at Territory Manager, National Account Executive, Business  Development Exec or similar and now actively looking to step up into your first commercial account management role and taking on full responsibility for your own customer base and all that entails. Your background is likely to be in food and drink and previous experience of the dairy category would be an advantage but not essential. More importantly, you will need to display a confident, articulate and persuasive personality, combined with a passion and drive for success and a willingness to be developed further.

The role is home based (flexible) with regular visits to the company’s processing sites  and the Oxfordshire sales office.
