Paul Nyman Consultancy are currently working with an innovative Yorkshire based FMCG food business to recruit a home-based Retail Sales Manager to work across retail.

As a successful food group historically known for their B2B food manufacturing expertise they have experienced significant growth since their first foray in to retail with a new and exciting brand which is already winning high acclaim and industry awards since its inception 3 years ago. Their envious manufacturing capability and strong brand identity has opened up a new customer base within the B2C channel which they are looking to grow and nurture.

The role

This home-based commercial role will require you to build strong sustainable customer relationships with new and existing accounts in the retail channel. With an increasing presence in the speciality premium sector including wins in Booth’s and targets such as Waitrose and Sainsbury’s the team are looking to establish themselves with a brand and product which trumps the competition when it comes to quality, innovation and uniqueness. Developing new concepts working closely with retailers, NPD & Marketing will be a key focus to drive the brand to its next stage of growth.

The Person

The ideal candidate will be able to add value to the business through developing strong, mutually beneficial relationships with existing customers, whilst identifying and building new opportunities, particularly with the larger premium retail customers. You will be dynamic, confident and able to demonstrate commercial experience with a real love and passion for food. You will fit with their team focused mentality and make decisions which help the brand and team to prosper. As their willingness and ability to create innovative NPD concepts forms a critical competitive advantage, your ability to use your head, be creative, think outside the box and add real value to the further development of the brand will set you apart from being “just another” account manager.
