Paul Nyman Consultancy are recruiting a Sales Development Manager to work for a premium quality FMCG business covering their foodservice accounts in the south of England.
The Business
Our client is one of the country's leading supplier's in its category, specialising in premium quality produce to meet the high demands of its expectant customer base. For this business, Foodservice is big business. With a significant presence in the major multiples, our client is looking to expand its foodservice operations with a particular focus on high end restaurants, leisure outlets and cafe's.
The Role
As Sales Development Manager, you will be charged with building on the existing relationships or client has within the foodservice channel whilst also exploiting new opportunities within this rapidly expanding channel of the market. The account base will cover accounts in the south of England, with a particular focus on the HORECA accounts covering Hotels, Restaurants and Catering. The role is home-based, as such there is a significant focus on being customer facing and meeting with relevant decision makers in those customers.
The Person
You will have an understanding of the sales process and how to go about gaining new business and building relationships with customers. Being home-based, you will need to possess the get up and go to motivate yourself to achieve your targets. Having a passion for food is vital in this role and being able to fully endorse your product play an important in being successful.
The Opportunity
For the successful candidate you have the opportunity to operate in a growing business, in a channel where you will be fully backed to go about driving the foodservice channel. Given the commitment our client has to this channel, good performance could lead to big things further down the line.
