Opportunity

A global drinks brand is looking to bring on board a new dedicated and ambitious NAC and NAM, to maximise volume, profit and net revenue targets in the on and off trade . In a declining market, this company has made substantial year on year growth.  With leading brands and the great people behind them, they have declared double digit growth this year already! These people would be strong characters to potentially mould and develop the direction and strategy of the business by interacting closely with the wider business including National Account and marketing teams.

Key Responsibilities…

  • Responsibilities will include the planning, development and implementing of key trading strategies within the sector.
  • Build strong relationships with key personnel both within the business and cross functionally within our customers. Manage customer relationships both internally and externally
  • Leading a team of National Account Managers to develop the portfolio in the correct channels
  • Own relationships with external customer regional and format contacts to deliver brand and commercial plans with excellence.
  • Work with an enterprise-wide approach and within a structured pricing / trading platform to ensure the sustainable growth.
  • Responsible for the planning and implementation of brand building activity across a ledger of National accounts, delivering world class brand activations
  • Support the Sales Director through the provision of strong financial account management & analysis.
  • Negotiate and implement trading relationships that grow brands in the right outlets.
  • Accurately forecast volume, value & margin.
  • Create and implement account development plans that drive brands / skus.

The Person

We are looking for someone who can deliver increased distribution nationally by developing key relationships within cash and carry sector.

Do you have?

  • An excellent understanding of the Off Trade Sector
  • Strong understanding of making strategic decisions
  • An analytical brain to interpret large volumes of data to make effective business decisions  
  • 5 years’ experience working for an FMCG organisation

Experience required:

  • Experience working for a major FMCG organisation working within the Cash and Carry sector.
  • Experience dealing with experienced buyers, regional contacts and other key customer contacts, with a track record of superior customer relationships.
  • Experience managing a team of experienced professionals
  • Experience in working with, influencing and leading internal colleagues across different functions.
  • Relevant commercial sales responsibility in a successful FMCG business at NAM level
  • Understands how money is made; has managed a P&L and has a proven track record of P&L growth & mix management
  • Has an excellent understanding of their sector and how premium products are sold within it
  • Excellent history of negotiations with a proven track record within a results driven culture
  • A structured approach to problem solving.
  • Leadership skills, a strong team player with proven track record of project management and the ability to work cross functionally.
  • An individual that has the courage and conviction to not only make considered and well-presented decisions, but to stand by them.
  • Ability to seek out and generate new business.
