This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced National Account Manager to join one of the UK’s market leaders within consumer electronics. Established in the late 1900’s the company has become a globally recognised brand with over 2300 products, most of which owe their existence to the company’s mastery of glass manufacture. The company operate at a global level and within the UK supply the most recognised of consumer retailers, ranging from; the Top 4 grocers, Department stores and High street retailers.

As a National Account Manager you will be based out of their head office in West London and will have the ability to handle a turnover in excess of £5 million. The main purpose of this role is to manage and drive the business relationships between the company and their key customers. You will be working alongside various people at different levels within the business, ranging from:

  • Peer Group of National Account Managers and National Account Controllers
  • Product Managers to shape account/category strategy
  • Sales Operations team for account administration support and product supply/forecast
  • Credit control team and Finance Director
  • Supporting UK Managing Director in customer meetings and business reviews

The Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Develop business plans to meet the agreed sales and profitability targets.
  • Identify and communicate sales opportunities and support the business in achieving the overall UK market sales and profitability targets
  • Analyse account and competitor performance to identify opportunities for growth
  • Manage and control account investment and maximise return on investment
  • Drive the brand awareness within the account
  • Work across the business to influence channel and category strategies
  • Agree joint business plans and forecast demand
  • Manage the relationship and interface for key accounts

The right candidate for this role will have strong persuasion, negotiation and influencing skills and will have excellent communication and presentation skills with great commercial acumen. You will have an energetic personality with a passion for winning and will be degree educated, with at least a 2:2 from one of the top 50 universities within the UK. You will have at least 3 years sales or category management experience with strong interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate a track record of achievement and Drive.
