As one of the market leaders in the milk, butter and sweetened product industry my client is the UK’s largest independent dairy business. With a turnover in excess of £350million they have 3 UK sites and work with 660 local milk farmers making them one of the biggest milk buyers in market. Despite their exceptional growth they remain a family owned business. As they continue to grow they have created a new position within their sales team for Sales Manager in both food manufacturing and food service.

This position will see the successful candidate identifying and approaching new accounts as well as managing the enquiries that are made to the business. Once the accounts have been secured, it will be your responsibility to manage these and ensure maximum profitability is achieved. This will be done through exceptional account relationship management, accurate forecasting and planning agreed objectives with each of your accounts. You will manage an annual budget and work closely with the Commercial Manager to ensure this achieved. This position also offers the opportunity to become involved in the NPD process.

In order to be considered for this opportunity you will currently be working within a business development role, and be experience in working with new customer leads and converting these to accounts for the business. You should be commercially aware, be confident and have excellent interpersonal skills. This is a position which offers great progression so my client is looking to bring someone into the business who is ambitious and looking to move into a Commercial Manager position.
