As the UK’s largest independent dairy and a leading supplier of milk and dairy ingredients to the food industry, my client are market leaders in their category. For more than 20 years the business has built long lasting and mutually beneficial relationships with both farmers and customers contributing to their huge success, leading them to a current turn over in excess of £300m. As a business, they are heavily NPD lead and are consistently improving and increasing their product offering through innovation. Their product portfolio consists of bulk dairy ingredients that are used by food manufacturers in both the UK and World markets. The Butters, Creams, Milks, Cultured and Sweetened Products are manufactured in their three BRC 6 Grade A accredited factories and packed into a wide variety of pack sizes to suit our customer needs. As they are looking to develop their business within Foodservice, they are looking to add a Commercial Manager to the team.
As Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for opening new accounts within the foodservice channel and developing, growing and monitoring these relationships. You will feedback to the Sales Director and fellows Sales Team members with relevant commercial information relating to markets, customers, and competitors in a timely and efficient way and develop a close working relationship with both manufacturing and logistic teams to ensure that the service and quality demands of the food service sector are clearly understood and satisfied.
To be considered for this role, you must have experience of managing accounts within he foodservice arena. Although dairy experience is desirable, it is not essential and a background within brand or own label would be considered. As this is a new business focused role, you must be driven by results and have a track record of opening and growing new accounts.
