The Role
As the successful Senior Category Manager you will report directly into the Sales Director. As part of this position you will be required to work closely with our leading customers to develop a category growth vision and strategy plan, you will influence the delivery through internal sales and marketing teams. You will be expected to manage the third party data providers e.g. IRI / Kantar, ensuring quality of service, within agreed budget parameters, whilst developing new approaches to data, saving time and resource. Our client is looking for someone to create a commercial story to the retailers and shape the category vision. You will also be responsible for two direct reports within your team of Category Managers.

The successful Senior Category Manager will:

    • Currently hold the position of, Category Manager, Category Development Manager, Category Insights Manager, Category Marketing Manager, Senior Category Manager or equivalent.
    • Experience in sales / category management or category insights within a branded environment.
    • Strong communication and influencing skills
    • Excellent negotiation skills
    • Ideally be degree educated or equivalent

 

In return you will receive a salary up to £55,000 + company car, bonus, pension + healthcare

This is an office based in the Home Counties.
