Job Details
Our client is one of the UK`s largest food manufacturing groups with annual revenues in excess of £1billion and a market leader in several of the categories it operates in.
Following an internal promotion they currently have an opportunity for a Group Procurement Manager to join the business
Reporting to the Group Sourcing Director, the Group Procurement Manager will be responsible for the leadership and sourcing process for one of the groups largest ingredients spends - Dairy & Egg.
Specific areas of responsibility are;
Leading cross functional teams to develop and implement longer term strategies for key material groups.
Developing strategies and negotiating contracts for key material groups that deliver cost, service improvements or innovation delivery.
Ensuring Lead Buyer and business buy in for sourcing approach.
Providing support for Lead Buyers in preparation of Lead Buying strategies and support in key group negotiations.
Building in depth knowledge of supply markets to improve development of material strategies.
Manage the price/cost forecasting process within the group: development of process, effective communication of results, understanding exposure.
Manage the contracting process and timetable within the group to ensure they are well prepared in advance of contracts expiring. Develop contractual frameworks for use within the business.
Applicants will need to demonstrate a strong track record of operating within a similar role within food manufacturing. Prior experience of working within a similar category such as Dairy & Egg is advantageous but not essential.
