Area Sales Manager - DIY, Garden & Homewares

Location: North West, Yorkshire & North East


The Role:

Area Sales Manager required for rapidly expanding DIY, Garden & Homeware products company. This work from home role will involve developing new business and account managing a portfolio of accounts in the independent DIY, High Street Retail, garden centre, discount and wholesale sectors, together with some key accounts.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will have total autonomy in the role, with responsibility for designated sales targets and portfolio growth, enabling you to run your business unit cost effectively ensuring development of your customer base and an increase in growth and distribution.

You will be required to take a strategic approach to the role, developing strong long term relationships and partnerships purely at a head office level. Dealing with senior decision makers, you will be a very confident and skilled presenter and negotiator.

An excellent networker you will have an excellent eye for identifying and creating opportunities in existing clients.

You will have the support and backup of a highly dedicated, effective and company-focused team who will support you in all area's to ensure that you have all the support and tools necessary to succeed. This is a superb opportunity for the successful candidate.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in the FMCG industry.
• DIY / Garden / Homeware / DIY / Pet or similar industry experience.
• Strong new business and account management skills.
• Strong relationship builder.
• Highly resilient, charismatic and outgoing.
• Strong confidence levels.
• Great Multi-tasker.

Package:

Basic Salary: £25,000 - £30,000
Commission: £50,000 OTE
Benefits: Car + benefits.
