Territory Sales Manager- Confectionery

North / M62 corridor /East Mids

£ Competative Remuneration package commensurate with experience, company car , Commission Structure

An exciting  opportunity has arisen  to join an established privately owned company, who are looking for an enthusiatic  and skilled person to  help develop and grow the supply of  confectionery into pharmacy, Gift markets, foodservice, wholesale and cash and carry markets

As Territory Sales Manager your role is part of an existing team of Account Managers who cover the UK  and will report directly to the Sales Director, and would be responsible for identifying and converting new opportunities within your territory to achieve profitable new business whilst also managing and developing an established large customer portfolio.

The successful candidate will be based in the North  and ideally possess a strong sales and food background . Independent pharmacy/ Wholesale  or FMCG experience is desired but not essential. . Candidates can be from any category although related categories would obviously be preferred confectionery, premium food products, gifts, pharmacy. There is no need for candidates to have had any exposure to major / national accounts as this training will be given internaly.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain P&L of your own accounts to drive overall sales and profitability.
  2. Manage existing customer accounts; developing relationships with the Purchasing, Technical/NPD and Operations teams.
  3. Proactively research opportunities via Customer visits; follow up new leads, presentation of proposals to seek out and deliver new sales opportunities.
  4. Maintain account plans for all strategic and key customers, ensuring these are kept up to date with the relevant information about the account

Above all they must have the enthusiasm and skills to open new business, develop current opportunities
