The Business

Our client is a fast growing niche branded and own label business operating in the chilled arena. Having enjoyed huge success throughout the last three years, they now have a strong presence across multiple channels, both major multiple retail and premium foodservice accounts. This has raised the bar internally on the people they need to grow their business and develop new relationships. For this business, people are everything and the right people make the right business.

The Role

As a senior national account manager, you will be looking after the business’s largest branded retail accounts. Taking ownership for your JBP from the ground up, you will work with supply-chain, NPD and category to ensure that a strong NPD pipeline is integrated with a promotional calendar that maximises every pound of investment. Forget about layers of bureaucracy and ‘silo’ culture. You will own these accounts completely. You will set the agenda and the strategy at a top-level and you will take the credit.  Your JBPs will include strategic objectives set with the retailer focussed around growing market share, shopper engagement and product innovation. These will be facilitated through close attention to the numbers and how these impact on the bottom line and the brand’s capital.

The Person

A love of food, quality, innovation and a huge amount of nouse are the qualities needed to succeed with this business. Your credibility as ‘Foodie’ will be a huge asset with the customer. Technical ability as a senior national account manager is expected. But, your passion for the brand will be what gives you impact with the retailer and influence internally. You will have 2-3 years under your belt as a national account manager with a blue-chip FMCG business, managing top-four accounts or premium retail. You must have experience of selling a branded product. You will be looking for the chance to work with a high-calibre FMCG business with the freedom to follow your creative instincts.
