A household name FMCG business, operating successfully across multiple categories is looking to recruit an experienced NAM to manage Wholesale and Cash & Carry accounts for a fixed term of 12 months.

Reporting to the Senior National Account Manager you will use compelling consumer, category and customer insights to develop and implement the customer business plan to achieve the volume targets within Wholesale and Cash & Carry accounts.

Key responsibilities:
  • Develop, sell & activate customer specific plans, incorporating range, promotion/customer marketing, NPD, merchandising tactics, to implement the Brand plan and achieve set targets.
  • Ensure that all activity delivers the Brand plan to the Trade.
  • Network with personnel in the Trading, Marketing, Store and Supply functions of the Customer to develop and implement a Joint Business Plan and to be fully informed of Customer policy and key commercial decisions
  • Leads all presentations and negotiations with the Customer, for the sell-in of Range, Promotions, NPD and cost increases.
  • Establishes a constructive relationship with the Customer to enable any Category work.
  • Monitors and reports on customer performance and important tactical decisions by the Customer, ensuring action is taken to optimise performance
  • Builds the monthly forecasts for the Customer, for a 6 month time frame.
  • Delivers the category agenda in non strategic customers, using the tools and approaches provided by the customer category manager


You will be of graduate calibre, possessing at least two years experience in National Account Management, gained in an FMCG setting. Candidates coming from a field sales background, managing convenience accounts are also encouraged to apply.
