As part of one of the largest growing and processing organisations in Europe we are well placed to supply products from our own BRC accredited production sites in the UK, France and Belgium as well as a core of specially selected worldwide partner sites.

The Role:

A vacancy has arisen for an experienced Sales Account Manager with a good understanding of the Frozen Ingredients and the Food Manufacturing sector to develop and expand a portfolio of existing accounts and pro-actively win new ones. The role is part of an existing team of Account Managers who cover the UK & Ireland and will report directly to the Managing Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain P&L of your own accounts to drive overall sales and profitability.
  2. Manage existing customer accounts; developing relationships with the Purchasing, Technical/NPD and Operations teams.
  3. Proactively research opportunities via Customer visits; follow up new leads, presentation of proposals to seek out and deliver new sales opportunities.
  4. Maintain account plans for all strategic and key customers, ensuring these are kept up to date with the relevant information about the account

Personal Profile:             

The successful candidate will need to be a real “foodie”, passionate about excellent customer service, with lots of enthusiasm and a generally positive outlook. This person needs to be comfortable dealing with all levels of personnel both internally and externally.  Sufficiently mobile and flexible to travel within the UK and overseas as there will be some European travel expected.

Essential Skills & Experience:

Proven sales track record.

Recent experience in selling into Food Manufacturing Sector preferably Frozen.

Ambitious, strong self-starter.

Excellent account management and administration skills.

Strong relationship builder with extensive commercial acumen.

Highly tenacious and proactive.

Must be adept in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
