The Lavazza Home Business Division operates at the heart of this high performance subsidiary which is a CoolBrands® awarded organisation. The Home business has experienced strong growth across the core Roasted Coffee Business and has successfully launched a number of in-home coffee capsule systems in recent years.

Role:

An opportunity has arisen for a bright, energetic, creative and strategic Trade Marketing Manager to join Lavazza. Developing category management plans and trade support programmes to leverage our presence in the UK trade across the product portfolio, this role provides comprehensive support to the Home Division and requires a focused, commercial individual with an eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of category management knowledge and development of space planning priority strategies ; making recommendations to the trade and following through to implementation.
  • To be the expert on shopper marketing opportunities. Developing the campaign in line with the Brand Strategy and successfully implementing.
  • Championing support of the Lavazza brand within the UK trade and supporting the National Account Management Team in presenting upcoming marketing activity to key customer accounts.
  • To track and analyse the success of the marketing activity, working closely with the Home Commercial Director to make recommendations for future improvements.
  • Supporting the creation of New Products and their launch to the trade, engaging with all suppliers and internal departments to implement.
  • Supporting the National Account Management Team in developing an annual promotional plan, monitoring and evaluating effectiveness.

Experience/Competencies:

Personal

•              Have excellent written and verbal communication as well as confident presentation skills, with the ability to build influential relationships at all levels

 

•              Strong commercial awareness

•              Be a forward thinker with a positive, ‘can do’ attitude, driven by continuous improvement and a desire to generate creative ideas and follow them through

 

•              Ability to effectively prioritise heavy workload and handle quick turnaround of tasks

•              Strong IT skills in main Microsoft applications i.e. PowerPoint, Word, Excel & Word

 

Marketing

•              Educated to Degree level or equivalent professional experience

 

•              Minimum of 1-2 years’ work experience in a FMCG company with understanding of Consumer & Shopper Research, category management, trade dynamics and space planning/management

 

•              UK Supermarket/retailer Knowledge is essential

 

•              Nielsen and other market research experience an advantage
