The Lavazza Away from Home (AFH) Division is market leading the branded bean sector, operating at the heart of this high performance subsidiary which is a CoolBrands® awarded organisation.
An opportunity has arisen for a creative, strategic and ”hands-on” Trade Marketing Manager to join the Lavazza team; providing comprehensive support to the AFH Division and its customers, with the vision to further develop our brands through the effective delivery of promotional strategy. This position requires an energetic and applied approach to supporting the Account Management Team and Trade Marketing alike.
- To develop and implement the trade marketing strategy, maximising cost effective AFH sales and representing the Lavazza One-Way Project.
- Implementation and delivery of trade marketing plans and initiatives to position the company as an industry leader in the Coffee Category.
- Management of trade marketing projects.
- Working in conjunction with the Account Management Team and other key stakeholders to ensure the efficiency of trade marketing campaigns through the major channels.
- Optimisation of new product initiatives.
- Speaking directly with our customer base and supporting the Account Management Team at liaison meetings, including preparation and delivery of presentations.
- To manage and leverage key company partnerships, maintaining a strong network of both internal and external departments, and organisations as appropriate.
- To manage and maintain key market data and insights that drive the Global and UK trade strategy and maintain the brands market leadership in the UK Coffee market.
- Provision of day-to-day trade marketing support including sending out data to customers, order fulfilment, distribution of merchandising, preparing data reports and POS materials.
- All associated administration and ownership of our distribution database.
- Management and support of Lavazza UK equipment requirements.
Experience/Competencies:
Personal
- Have excellent written and verbal communication as well as confident presentation skills, with the ability to build influential relationships at all levels
- Strong commercial acumen with the intellect to think strategically but will be equally comfortable handling operational issues effectively and delivering return on investment
- Forward thinker with a positive, ‘can do’ attitude, driven by continuous improvement and a desire to generate creative ideas and follow them through
- High degree of flexibility and efficiency
- Highly organised, with strong planning and accuracy skills – strong project management skills are essential
- Strong IT skills in main Microsoft applications i.e. PowerPoint, Word, Excel & Word
Trade Marketing
- Full and thorough understanding of the HORECA sector
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ work experience in a coffee/coffee equipment company with understanding of Wholesaler, Distributor and Food Service outlets, category management, trade dynamics and space planning/management
- First-hand knowledge of Coffee equipment and ancillaries is essential
- Nielsen and other market research experience an advantage
