Category Controller

A Marketing Leading FMCG Manufacturer is looking for a Category Controller to head up a team across total product portfolio and all retailers.

The Category Controller’s role is very commercial and fairly complex, it combines influencing brand and Retailer Brand strategy, input to channel strategy and the development and execution of plans to drive total category growth across all retailers. This requires the ability to think strategically, identify opportunities and to implement effectively.

You will also be responsible for identifying and converting opportunities for increasing brand presence in-store and at all points of purchase.

• Deliver maximum support, within budget, for new launches across all channels, tailoring marketing materials where required.
• Tailor brand advertising, POS, and communication materials where appropriate to maximise support from all retailers.
• Develop and own the Category story for all retailers.
• Lead, manage, motivate and develop your direct reports to generate ‘best-in-class’ iMAPs.

You will be graduate calibre and have experience working in a Senior Category Management role leading a large direct team. Your background will be in the FMCG industry, preferably with experience of working across the Top 4 Grocery Accounts. Experience in Shopper Insights and Category Development is essential.
