Senior Brand Manager – Leading Branded Food Manufacturing business

My client is a leading Branded Food Manufacturing business who produce an exciting and innovative range of products. As a Senior Brand Manager, you will report to the Marketing Controller and own the portfolio of brands and have input into the wider UK brand strategy. You will be directly responsible for developing and implementing the short to medium term brand plan with specific accountability for the innovation plan. With a solid background in FMCG marketing you will lead the innovation piece from concept to launch. In addition, you will lead a team of two within the business and be responsible for their ongoing personal development. It is hoped that the Senior Brand Manager will become the clear number two to the Marketing Controller so the right attitude and skill set is key. This is an exciting challenge for an experienced marketer to grow their career very quickly within a solid and top performing business.

The Role:

• In conjunction with the Marketing Controller you will develop and deliver the strategy and marketing Brand Plans to support the product portfolio.
• Accountability for the development and execution of the long term Innovation strategy for the brand in the UK.
• Project lead on key NPD initiatives.
• Support the Marketing Controller in the development and execution of the UK masterbrand communications and media plan.
• Day to day agency and third party liaison including; TV, media, partnerships and promotions.
• Full ongoing competitor understanding and insight across the portfolio.
• Responsibility for all marketing campaigns including ATL budget development, management and delivery.

The Requirements:

• Relevant FMCG branded marketing experience.
• Educated to degree level or the equivalent and ideally with a CIM qualification.
• Innovation and NPD experience and process flow understanding.
• Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills.
• Commercially astute including a good financial awareness and understanding.
• Strong analytical skills in order to make informed decisions; prioritise and plan.
• Solid understanding of the UK Grocery market and customer focused.
• Previous leadership experience would be ideal.
• Results orientated and driven to succeed.
