National Account Manager/Senior NAM – Chilled Meats.

£45-55,000 Basic, Bonus, Car Allowance+ Benefits

Our Client is a major producer of Chilled Meat products. A vacancy has arisen for a NAM/Snr NAM to manage 2 Major Multiple Retail accounts – one of which is likely to be a Top 4 Grocery Multiple account.

Our Client is looking for experienced NAMs or SNAMs who are seasoned operators, and who have looked after some substantial retail accounts.

There’s an obvious advantage if candidates for the role have Top 4 Grocery exposure, but it’s not essential.

Candidates must be from a chilled background ( better still if they happened to be from a protein based product like poultry, meat or fish, but not essential. Dairy and other chilled categories would be excellent as well ).

Candidates must be from an Own Label background.

Candidates must have good solid experience of NPD and forecasting as the job holders will work closely with the NPD team and also the UK Forecasting Manager, plus a whole host of other different functions within the business.

Other skill sets that would be a big bonus ( building longer terms joint business plans with customers, good data manipulation / IT skills with Powerpoint and Excel as minimum requirements ), experience of consumer insight data / data manipulation, contacts at different levels within the retailers ( buyers, buying controllers, maybe directors, category planners etc ).

This role can be either NAM or SNAM level, depending on the particular candidate.

There may be one direct report into the role ( another NAM or a NAE ), depending on whether or not the person is capable of managing another person. Man management experience isn’t essential, although would be a bonus.

Location – office based role and the job holder will need to be in the office on the M4 corridor at least three days per week. The job holder will have to pay their own travelling expenses to and from the office

Remuneration – Ideally c£45k to £50k basic, but might be able to stretch to £55k for an exceptional candidate. There is a Company Car + Bonus + Benefits
