National Sales Manager with a leading Rapeseed oil brand and Northamptonshire based business.  £45,000 plus pension, bonus and future career prospects.

As a result of continued growth and high performance, a superb opportunity exists for a progressive, dynamic National Sales Manager to fill this new role within a brand leading Rapeseed oil business. You will be responsible for winning and developing new business as well as actively managing existing accounts. The Company

Successful family business, Farrington Oils Ltd is a fast growing farm producer of cold-pressed rapeseed oil and associated products, based in Northamptonshire.  Founded in 2005, it has established Farrington’s Mellow Yellow® as the brand leader of British cold-pressed rapeseed oil.  It is a business with an entrepreneurial spirit and “can do” approach, constantly looking at new initiatives to move forward.  Proud of its quality and provenance, it has an ethos of integrity throughout the whole business.

As a result of continued growth and high performance, a superb opportunity exists for a progressive, dynamic National Sales Manager to join our team to develop our customer base and build on our current success.

The Role

This is a new role, with two key components, reporting directly to the MD.

  • Responsible for winning and developing new business in accordance with set budget targets for profit, volume and revenue.
  • Actively manage existing accounts, developing best in class relationships.

Experience with the multiples is essential, especially with category management and relationship negotiations.

As a National Sales Manager you will be educated to degree level and be ready to grow our business.  Outstanding selling and interpersonal skills plus strong, instinctive commercial acumen with the confidence to help shape the future direction of the business are a must.

Candidates meeting the following criteria will have a distinct advantage:

  • Experience within the FMCG sector.
  • Proven track record of growing sales and winning new business.
  • Previous account management experience.
  • Drive, self motivated, enthusiastic and results oriented.
  • Ability to build and sustain relationships at all levels.
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Excellent planning and time management skills to ensure the day to day paperwork tasks are completed as well as ‘delivering on the cut and thrust parts of the role’.
  • A passion to succeed.

The role is office based, with responsibility for National and potentially International customers.  The candidate will live within a one hour commute of the office, have a full UK driving license and be willing to travel as required.
