As one of the leading players in their category, my client has enjoyed huge success over recent years and boasts a fantastic portfolio of brands. They have grown from just under £500m to over £1.5bn in 4 years, and are constantly expanding their product offerings by innovating and acquiring other businesses. Unlike most blue chip businesses, there is little bureaucracy as they are privately owned, therefore you can expect decisions to be made much more quickly. Their strength in brands makes negotiation easier, and the momentum behind the brands makes for maximum sales.  As a business, they have exciting plans for the future, with the aim of becoming the overall market leader in their category, by moving into different product ranges and continuing to increase innovation. Due to an internal promotion, they are looking to add a Commercial Strategy Controller to their team.

As Commercial Strategy Controller, you will develop and direct the business’ recommended pack pricing and promotional strategy for all channels and customers. You will support the Commercial Director in setting customer trade terms investment strategy, and support Operational Marketing and Sales Controllers in building annual channel, sub-channel and customer plans and targets to include other drivers of growth. You will also be responsible to in developing 1-3 year joint Customer Business Plans alongside Channel/Customer teams.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a strong sales background in a blue chip business working with top brands. You must have experience in building successful annual channel customer plans and ability to lead a team whilst being able to influence at a senior level. You also must be commercially astute and have strong numerical and analytical skills.
