As the Purchasing Manager you will be responsible to manage the suppliers for the region (Europe, Middle East and Africa), specifically the sub-contracted manufacturers. To manage the finish product localisation projects in the region, to become the expert for Asia, and EMEA, and to provide support in materials sourcing. Connecting with buyers in different geographical areas for these materials to leverage globally as needed, look at localisation opportunities or source from Europe or Asia looking to improve total value.

Further responsibilities will include;
  • Development of local and global material sourcing strategies
  • Manage the commercial relationship with key regional suppliers and copackers.
  • Identify opportunities for cost and process efficiency for Long Range Planning. Consolidate spend to deliver efficiencies.
  • Work with colleagues on a global basis to leverage volume and suppliers to optimize cost / standardise specs/ products.
  • Supply rationalization and formation of key strategic supply Hubs in the region
  • Develop performance measurement systems with suppliers that improve efficiency and delivery, to World Class standards.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to leverage demand planning and cost efficiency at Asian sub-manufacturer
  • Develop and maintain effective communications process with EMEA teams.


The ideal candidate will have the following experience;
  • Solid experience in supply chain and procurement especially supplier relation management
  • Experience working in an FMCG environment
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Open to travelling 50% of the time
  • Degree in Business and/or a technically related field or equivalent working experience
  • Project management - multi tasking capability across several technologies
  • Contract development and implementation
  • A continuous improvement mentality
  • A self-starter and able to work autonomously
  • Highly analytical, numerate with attention to detail
