Senior Commercial Manager/ Business Development Controller

£60,000 – £80,000 + Bonus + Car + Excellent benefits Package

Based: Manchester

Ambitious and hungry FMCG Senior Commercial Manager needed for major client to help grow sales across their Major Multiple accounts.

Operating in highly competitive categories, our client is a fantastic and highly respected food grocery business who have many category leading products working within a chilled environment. With a strategic focus on strengthening their presence in their top mults account they continue to build their business through innovation and great customer relationships.

You'll be expected to help achieve new wins, and open doors with top 4, discounter and convenience accounts. You will work collaboratively to deliver the annual sales plan against forecasts. You'll also take responsibility for defining and implementing joint business plans and promotional plans. This role is heavily focused on NPD and you will be tasked with sourcing, procuring and developing new lines, readying them for market launch and managing the process from conception to completion.

It is desirable for the successful candidate to have worked on, and been P+L responsible for, multiple Top 6 grocery account, preferably within a branded, chilled environment and have proven experience of ‘opening doors’ with the major mults. Our client would also be interested in speaking to people with previous experience of working for a top 6 retailer within the purchasing function at Buying Manager level who may be interested in looking at moving to sales and business development. You will need to have a strong commercial focus and be able to demonstrate strong relationship building and communicational skills.
