Key Account Manager

Salary: £40k + car allowance + benefits

Location: Home Counties / North M25 (with national remit)

 

You’ll be working for our Asset Solutions Division, supporting customers to whom we supply a range of specialist services including stocktaking, supply chain audit and merchandising.

About the role:

You’ll manage and develop a strong relationship with our strategic client(s), ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service whilst maintaining a high level of interaction with multiple stakeholders. Your focus will be on both retaining our core business but also identifying key strategic growth areas and maximising contract profitability. Specifically you will:

  • Manage the delivery of services to provide consistently high levels of performance and where required, take personal (hands-on) responsibility for key client relationships, contract performance, retention and growth.
  • Undertake periodic meetings with key client stakeholders and continually review standards of service to drive improvements.
  • Manage the P&L for the contract to ensure that budget targets are met whilst maintaining quality and service.
  • Ensure that Contract Terms and Variations are correctly agreed and costed.
  • Liaise with the finance teams to ensure that invoices are submitted and paid in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Manage all aspects of the contracts’ KPIs and SLA agreements through active monitoring, auditing and reporting, managing the provision of management information internally and externally.
  • Provide clear direction to the operation regarding the client’s specific service requirements and support them to effectively deliver against these.
  • Provide detailed relationship maps and account development plans.
  • Liaise with the Scheduling Planning Manager to communicate forward workloads.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive account procedures/ guidance/ wider documentation and analysis on customer specific practices and embrace the role of efficient and effective process champion within the account.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a market leading team in which you will be the key interface between OCS and our client(s). You will already be a successful relationship management professional in the retail or retail services environment with extensive experience of account management. In addition, you will have:

  • Experience of working within or managing large retail organisations.
  • The ability to proactively develop strong relationships and have the confidence to influence the client where required.
  • Experience of managing P&L and maximising profitability.
  • High levels of numeracy and literacy.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, interpersonal and management skills.
  • Experience of delivering change management and implement best practice whilst maintaining profit.
