Job Description:

Head of Administration (Marketing Department)

Position in the Company:

Head of Administration of the Marketing Department overseeing the efficient running and co-ordination with the Logistics Department, Production Planning, Sales, Tea Lounges and Tea Boutique Projects.

You will report directly to the Director of Marketing and the Group Chairman.

Location of the Job:

N. Sethia House, London, EC1; the head office for the Group.

Summary and Objectives of the Post:

To ensure the efficient running of all administrative functions, including global co-ordination and implementing operational strategies as directed by the Board. 

Main Duties:

  • Co-ordinate with all branch offices and sole distributors on the progress and development on a time scheduled basis and financial co-ordination.
  • To co-ordinate with the Director of Marketing on budget allocation to the branches and sole distributors, POS material management and promotional activities.
  • To co-ordinate with the Finance Department on audits, budgets, cash flow, systems and systems implementation.
  • To co-ordinate and manage all contracts and contract terms with potential buyers and vendors.
  • To plan and manage Global Gifting projects including the Collection and control of the database.
  • To manage the reporting systems of all bases.
  • To assist the Curator as and when required with the Chitra Collection, ensure the integrity of systems, insurance checks, asset movement and purchases.
  • To complete a 5 year business plan for the Board’s approval and oversee, analyse and manage future activities against the plan.
  • To be responsible, in consultation with the Marketing Director, for all human resources issues including recruitment.
  • To take full responsibility of IT control systems specific to the Tea Department.
  • To be responsible for establishing and staffing all overseas operations including company formation (in consultation with the Finance Department), consultation with lawyers on local laws and by-laws, giving instructions on reporting systems and managing affairs.
  • To regulate and attend Management Meetings with the Chairman and senior staff members of Newby and ensuring implementation of decisions.
  • To co-ordinate with the Finance Department on a regular basis and reporting back findings to the Marketing Director and Chairman.

Character Qualifications

Must be a team worker, committed and dedicated to growth, excellent IT skills, good time management skills and the ability to make decisions as and when required. 

Candidate Profile:

The candidate must have 15 years experience in a commercial environment, having developed into a similar role, and be qualified and experienced in business administration.  Further, must have 5 years experience in the FMCG market.

Proposed Salary:

£60,000-£70,000 per annum
