My client is the UK subsidiary of a large international group who supply a wide range of products to the retail, trade, merchant, contract and specification channels. They are particularly strong in trade, contract and specification and have a growing presence in retail. They also trade with several buying groups and have a strong offering in hospitality and leisure. The business is profitable, robust and in good health with the additional support of a large parent group who fully support their continued growth in UK, the ROI and EMEA.

The business now needs a Sales Director to take the business to the next level. You will be an accomplished leader with a demonstrable track record of achievement in the above channels. You will be strategic and will be used to delivering growth and profitability. You will manage a medium sized team who both are focussed and motivated and will seek to grow that as you expand the business. You will be credible with a strong level of personal gravitas and will be an accomplished networker at board level and beyond. You will be numerate and financially literate and will run the business when the MD is overseas. The role is based in the Midlands but will require frequent travel. You will be adept at working with innovation and will be comfortable jointly driving the NPD agenda.

You will be an experienced Sales Director now looking for a new challenge in a demanding environment. This business has a very entrepreneurial culture and this role will suit an outgoing, ambitious senior sales professional.
