Thorntons are currently recruiting for a Sales Executive to join our International team who will manage a portfolio of distributor partners, supporting these in the implementation and development of their own business plans in line with our own international strategy.

About the role…

When you join us as a Sales Executive some of your key responsibilities will include:-

  • Day to day account management of a number of distribution partners including regular face to face meetings.
  • Develop and deliver against the agreed sales and contribution plans set through the joint business plans.
  • Work with key stakeholders to implement the agreed distribution strategies by channel and customer.
  • Support in developing plans with our distributors to help them and us deliver against agreed brand plans.
  • Support in the planning and presentation of new product launches to relevant customers.
  • Work with customers to support the Thorntons business in balancing our all year round sales vs seasonal.
  • Support the wider international team in the analysis relevant internal and external data available.
  • Proactively identify key opportunities within each distribution partner as well as seeking out any potential threats and working to find solutions to these.
  • Take responsibility for managing the sales forecast and budgets for each partner.
  • Supporting the international team in identifying and growing opportunities for further distribution growth.

About you…

The successful applicant will be degree educated with a background in sales ideally within FMCG. You will be a highly organised individual who wants to progress within the international sales arena. A background in international sales is not necessary but would be advantageous.
