Our Story Nestlé is the world’s largest Health, Wellness & Nutrition business, employing over 7000 employees in the UK alone. Nestlé Professional (“NP”) is our Business to Business food service arm, which specializes in the Out of Home solutions market. NP operates successfully in an enormous marketplace, and is an ambitious growth driver for Nestlé, with plans to double sales by 2018 and to increase our share of the £1.75 billion global consumer spend in this market. The team’s aim is to inspire growth in our partners, by providing branded, creative solutions that help our customers develop their business, helping them understand business issues and the solutions that will help them develop, by driving footfall and increasing their profit. The Commercial Team sits at the heart of NP, and is comprised of Account Managers, with a range of differing responsibilities and remits. These roles report into one of the team leads, and are focused on either Food or Beverage Solutions, depending on your own particular skill-set.

Our Opportunities The New Business role as an Account Manager has a simple aim – to develop and win new business across the HORECA channel in England within either Food or Beverages. This will involve a comprehensive plan from funnel through to the execution of new business wins. It’s a pure business development role, where you can use your previous experience in the channel to ensure that we’re operating consistently and in line with best practice. As an Account manager you’ll be selling to all the major influencers and decision-makers within potential customers, building in-depth customer profiles to ensure that you have a deep understanding of customer requirements. This will enable you to develop strong, customer-specific proposals, and ensure that you can truly motivate customers to ‘make more possible.’ For this Account Manager in Hotels and Pubs role, we’re looking for a passionate and self-motivated sales professional who has a strong grasp of the sales fundamentals. You will be highly-driven and able to balance the development of a large, existing account with the ability to uncover opportunities which may not have been identified yet. As an Account Manager day-to-day, your cross-functional skills will enable you to work effectively with the Purchasing, Marketing and Operations teams within customers.

You You’ll be a graduate or of graduate calibre, and you’ve probably got some experience in a blue chip, FMCG background. You’ll have a proven track record in acquiring, developing and retaining customers, and you’ll be able to demonstrate a really thorough understanding of the HORECA channel in the UK. You’ll be comfortable in a role that plays to your commercial strengths, and you’ll be happy working in the field without constant guidance – although you’ll be looking to feel part of a bigger team. You’ll also have some experience of food or beverage solutions. This role as an Account Manager will develop your negotiating skills, promotional planning and execution and ability to develop a business strategically. We believe that we have a unique culture. Many of our people say it’s like working in a big business which operates like a small one: the best of both worlds. We genuinely believe in giving people manoeuvring room to build a career pathway, not just to the next role but two, maybe three steps further. If you have the necessary skills to apply for the role, we want to hear from you. If you prove yourself, this really is an opportunity to progress your career with a global FMCG business.

What you need to know The closing date for applications is 25th October 2014. Please note that applications will be screened throughout the advertising process and suitable candidates will be interviewed before the closing date, so please do not hesitate to apply. This role offers a bonus scheme, car or car allowance (depending on experience), private medical insurance, 25 days holiday plus 8 flex days and the choice of two excellent pension schemes. Nestlé UK & I is committed to equal opportunity for all. We may collect relevant data for monitoring as part of our candidate registration process.
