We are recruiting a Category Manager, to be based at our Harefield Office (UB9 6NS).

The successful candidate will work closely with the sales and marketing teams, assisting them to drive forward business development strategies by providing commercial decision support for the team and to help shape brand strategy and ensure customer centric plans;

Develop category and customer insights, feeding these in to the sales team to drive customer relationships and tailored business planning, as well as to the sales and marketing teams to inform retail vision and strategy. Provide timely and action orientated insight for customers and sales teams;

Analyse and interpret market data and devise innovative solutions and recommendations to improve listings and volume turnover for all categories. Manage and integrate extensive amounts of information, data and insights. Evaluation of promotions and provision of feedback on promo guidelines in close collaboration with the sales and marketing teams;

Research and make recommendations that will drive the rate reviews and promotional strategies, shaping how the sales team present and influence customers. 

Experience and Skills
Experience in a similar role
Advanced data analytical skills utilising and linking a broad range of data sources
Excellent communication and influencing skills
Advanced IT skills (MS Office, IRI PlusSuite, Dunnhumby Shop, LMG Self Serve)
Resource management and negotiation
Attention to detail, organised, strategic thinker
Commercial awareness and application
Presentation skills
Numerate and able to demonstrate a strong affinity to working with data and providing recommendations based on analytical findings
