Senior Category Manager - Chilled Food to Go

Our client is one of the UK’s largest food manufacturers who are looking for a strong individual to join their Category Team. They offer strong progression routes within the division as well as throughout the group as a whole, therefore they are looking for someone who is keen to develop themselves and their career as well as drive forward change within the team.

As Senior Category Manager you will be reporting into the Category Controller and working alongside a team of Category Managers and the Commercial Team. This role will be predominantly focusing within the Own Label Chilled Food to Go division working closely with a number of the Top 5 retailers.

In this role you will be the point of contact for the customer and will be an expert in the field by providing them with an effective category strategy which you will drive forward and will deliver the best results for both the business and the customer.

You will be influencing and managing your team in order to make sure the category strategy is successful and the customer’s wants and needs are the focus as well as continuously working towards what is also best for the company as a whole. This will also include working closely with the commercial and NPD departments to build up knowledge of the market competitors so to stay ahead of them and develop a competitive advantage; this will ensure that the business is focused on the consumer in order for the division to grow and increase market share.

 To be considered for this role you should have experience at the level of; Category Manager, Customer Marketing Manager, Senior Category Manager, Senior Customer Marketing Manager.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record across Category Management and an established working relationship within many of the Top 5 retailers. You should have excellent market knowledge and the ability to influence and develop team members and strive provide the best.
